Study: Born Intelligent People Tend Healthier

Blessed are those who are born smarter. The study called the intelligence associated with better health. So that smart people tend to get sick less often, did not develop any particular disease or died at a young age due to illness.

Is a researcher from the University of Edinburgh who conducted the research to find the relationship of intelligence from birth to health is concerned. According to researchers, the answer of the relationship these two things are genes. That the gene that makes someone smart can also protect them from disease.

People who have the ability to remember the good as well as good verbal reasoning tend to be less chances of having a gene linked to high blood pressure, also diseases such as Alzheimer's and diabetes. It is found in those who have larger brains.

This conclusion was drawn after the researchers analyzed data from more than 100,000 people aged 40-73 years. In the study, researchers compared the mental test data of each person with his or her genome. One of them was found that people with a lot of heart disease-related genes tend to have low levels of reasoning.

Although the researchers did acknowledge find some things that overlap in this study. As quoted from the Telegraph, Sunday (14/02/2016)
Previous researchers argue factors that play a role of socio-economic differences in the relationship between low education and poor health. But a new study shows that genetics also play a role. So that intelligent people who have a poor background could have been more healthy than rich people are less intelligent.
"This study supports the theory that people with better health overall tend to have a higher level of intelligence," said Dr. Saskia Hagenaars, from the University of Edinburgh.
However there are also health conditions associated with intelligence that the risk of schizophrenia, as well as austime and bipolar disorder.
Researchers also stressed that environmental factors also affect a person's health over time. So to healthy should not rely solely owned yan genetics.
The research is published in the journal Molecular Science.
